Built Around Your Anatomy
Infrared paraspinal thermography, posture assessment, leg checks, palpation, and precision imaging give Dr. Blackketter multiple findings to consider before deciding whether a correction is needed.
Individualized care designed to support better spinal balance, nerve function, and brain-to-body communication.
About the practice
GENESIS Chiropractic has served Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas since 2010 with a focused approach to upper cervical chiropractic care. Dr. Jason Blackketter specializes in Blair Upper Cervical Specific Chiropractic, a precise method centered on the relationship between the head, upper neck, and nervous system.
Many people come to the practice after months or years of persistent or complex concerns and a long search for answers. Each case is considered carefully, with attention to individual findings, the broader picture, and whether upper cervical care may be appropriate.
Education is also an important part of the process. Patients are encouraged to understand what the findings mean, how the Blair approach works, and what each step is intended to accomplish so they can take an active role in their health.
Our mission is to give every person who walks through our door hope, compassion, and a clear path toward healing and lifelong wellness.
Understanding the Brain-Body Connection
Your body is constantly adapting, regulating, and repairing. Your nervous system carries information between the brain and the rest of the body, helping coordinate movement, balance, organ function, and responses to the world around you.
Patients often arrive at GENESIS with concerns that overlap: headaches, dizziness, fatigue, brain fog, digestive changes, sleep problems, or persistent pain. Dr. Blackketter looks at spinal balance and upper cervical function to understand whether dysfunction at the head-neck junction may be part of that larger picture.
The goal is better function over time, with clear findings guiding each step of care. This broader perspective can help patients understand the benefits of chiropractic care in the context of spinal function, nervous system communication, and long-term wellness.
“Healing comes from within you. It is a process that takes time, especially if you’ve had multiple stressors and old injuries.”
Our Expertise
Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic focuses on the atlas (C1) and axis (C2), the uppermost vertebrae of the neck. The shape and orientation of these joints vary from person to person, so specialized Blair X-rays help Dr. Blackketter evaluate each patient’s anatomy and plan care with greater specificity.
Infrared paraspinal thermography, posture assessment, leg checks, palpation, and precision imaging give Dr. Blackketter multiple findings to consider before deciding whether a correction is needed.
When an adjustment is indicated, the contact and direction are based on your individual measurements. Blair corrections use a precise, low-force approach delivered by hand, with the patient positioned comfortably on their side.
Follow-up visits include a reassessment of your findings. Dr. Blackketter uses that information to determine whether another correction is needed. This check-before-adjusting principle is central to how GENESIS delivers Blair Upper Cervical care.

Conditions we evaluate
Persistent or overlapping symptoms can sometimes be difficult to connect. GENESIS evaluates the relationship between the head, neck, and nervous system as part of understanding how the body is functioning.
Headaches and migraines can occur with neck stiffness, dizziness, light or sound sensitivity, brain fog, and fatigue. GENESIS Chiropractic evaluates the upper cervical spine, especially when there is a history of head or neck trauma, to identify structural findings that may be relevant to the pattern and persistence of symptoms.
Learn more about headaches and migrainesVertigo can affect balance, movement, driving, and everyday confidence, often alongside dizziness, nausea, or neck discomfort. Dr. Blackketter evaluates upper cervical alignment, posture, and nervous system findings to identify structural or functional patterns that may be relevant to balance-related symptoms and how they are affecting daily life.
Learn more about vertigoAnxiety and panic attacks can involve physical symptoms such as a racing heart, shortness of breath, tingling, dizziness, and difficulty settling the body. GENESIS considers upper cervical alignment and nervous system findings as part of a broader assessment of how the body is responding to stress and regulating normal function.
Learn more about anxiety & panic attacksDigestive concerns such as GERD, acid reflux, IBS, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis can involve many factors. Because the brain and digestive tract communicate through the autonomic nervous system, including the vagus nerve, GENESIS includes upper cervical findings as part of a broader, individualized assessment of overall function.
Learn more about gut problemsYour visit, step by step
Step 01
Care begins with infrared paraspinal thermography, postural assessment, leg checks, and palpation. These findings help Dr. Blackketter evaluate how your spine is functioning and determine the next step in your assessment.
Step 02
When indicated, specialized Blair X-rays show the shape and orientation of your upper cervical joints. Dr. Blackketter uses those measurements to determine the precise direction and contact for your correction.
Step 03
The Blair adjustment is delivered by hand using a precise contact and direction based on your X-ray analysis. The technique uses low force and is tailored to your individual anatomy.
Step 04
After an adjustment, patients rest in a zero-gravity chair in the relaxation room. Dr. Blackketter then repeats the thermography scan and reviews the physical findings to compare how the body responded after the correction.
Step 05
Existing patients are rechecked with scans, posture assessment, leg checks, and palpation. Clear findings indicate that the correction is holding, so the visit may focus on monitoring, posture, home exercises, or other health habits.
